The Agniveer final cut off 2026 is an important update for candidates awaiting Indian Army recruitment results. Candidates applying for General Duty (GD) can use an estimated safe score of around 115–125 marks out of 200 as a general performance benchmark. For Clerk/Store Keeper Technical (SKT), an indicative target is approximately 140–155 marks out of 200. These ranges are estimates and should not be confused with official cut-off marks.

The actual selection outcome depends on the applicable recruitment criteria, vacancies and candidate performance. Candidates can check the relevant Army Recruiting Office (ARO) shortlist to find out whether they have been shortlisted. The latest recruitment updates and result lists are available on the official Indian Army website.

Latest Update: The CEE 2026 shortlist was published ARO-wise on joinindianarmy.nic.in on 12 July 2026. Shortlisted candidates were called for the recruitment rally (Phase II) as per the dates on their admit cards. No cutoff marks have been released by the Army.

Is There an Official Agniveer Cut Off for 2026?

No. Para 22 of the official notification says that candidates are shortlisted in proportion to the vacancies available by applying a cutoff in the written exam result, and that the roll numbers of candidates in merit are published on the Join Indian Army website. The cutoff is applied internally; the marks are not released.

The CEE 2026 result follows exactly this format. Each PDF is titled “Result of Shortlisted Candidates Phase-I” and lists only roll numbers, for one ARO and one category:

Official Indian Army Agniveer CEE 2026 result for ARO Ambala, Agniveer Clerk/SKT category, showing only roll numbers of shortlisted candidates with no marks or cutoff

Source: Join Indian Army, CEE result for ARO Ambala dated 12 July 2026

So there is no single national cutoff, no trade-wise cutoff and no category-wise (General, OBC, SC, ST) cutoff in any official document. Each ARO’s shortlist depends on that ARO’s vacancies for each category, so the effective cutoff varies from one ARO to another.

How the Agniveer CEE Shortlist Is Prepared

The notification sets out the process in four steps:

Step What happens (as per the notification)
1. Online CEE Candidates answer 50 questions in one hour or 100 questions in two hours, depending on the category applied for
2.Normalisation Marks are normalised to account for differences in difficulty across exam sessions (Para 21.10)
3. Shortlisting Candidates are shortlisted in proportion to the vacancies available, by applying a cutoff to the written exam result (Para 22)
4. Publication Roll numbers of shortlisted candidates are published on joinindianarmy.nic.in, ARO-wise and category-wise

Clerk/Store Keeper Technical candidates must also qualify the typing test held during the CEE (30 words per minute in English is desirable) to be called for Phase II.

Agniveer Final Merit List: What Decides Final Selection

Clearing the CEE shortlist only gets a candidate to Phase II, the recruitment rally. The notification lists the marks and tests that follow.

Physical Fitness Test Marks (Phase II)

1.6 km run group Time Marks
Group I Up to 5 min 30 sec 60
Group II 5 min 31 sec to 5 min 45 sec 48
Group III 5 min 46 sec to 6 min 36
Group IV 6 min 01 sec to 6 min 15 sec 24
Beam (pull-ups) Marks
10 40
9 33
8 27
7 21
6 16

The 9 ft ditch and zig-zag balance must be qualified but carry no marks. As per the notification, Agniveer Technical and Clerk/Store Keeper Technical candidates only need to qualify in all the tests. The Army can change run timings and marks before a rally, so candidates should check joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Agniveer Bonus Marks

Bonus marks are fixed by eligibility, have no link to CEE performance and are used only to prepare the final merit (notification, Para 6):

Bonus category GD Clerk/SKT Technical Tradesman
Son of serviceman, ex-serviceman, war widow or widow (two wards only) 20 20 20 20
Represented India at international level (sports) 20 20 20 20
State at Senior/Junior National level, with a medal or top-8 team finish 15 15 15 15
NCC ‘A’ certificate 5 5 5 5
NCC ‘B’ certificate 10 10 10 10
NCC ‘C’ certificate 20 15 15 15
NCC ‘C’ certificate and Republic Day Parade 25 20 20 20
NIELIT ‘O’ level (IT) plus a higher level – 15 – –
ITI or Diploma (depending on course) – – 20 to 50 –

The maximum bonus is 25 marks for all categories except Technical, where it is 50 marks for ITI or Diploma holders. Bonus certificates are accepted only at the rally site, not afterwards.

Agniveer Final Result Format

After the rally, medical examination and document checks, the Army publishes the final result ARO-wise on joinindianarmy.nic.in. Like the CEE shortlist, it lists only roll numbers, as this final list from the previous cycle shows:

Official Indian Army Agniveer final result for RO (HQ) Ambala, Agniveer General Duty category, titled Result of Selected Candidates, listing only roll numbers

Source: Join Indian Army, final selection list for RO (HQ) Ambala dated 25 May 2026 (previous recruiting cycle)

So there is no published “final cutoff” either. Searches for an “Agniveer GD final cut off 2026” cannot be answered with official marks.

Agniveer CEE Marking Pattern (2026–27 Notification)

Rule As per the notification
Question type Objective multiple choice (MCQ)
Number of questions 50 questions in 1 hour or 100 questions in 2 hours, depending on the category

Unattempted question Nil marks
Questions marked for review Evaluated if attempted
Normalisation Marks normalised across sessions

The 2026–27 notification does not mention a deduction for wrong answers in its marking pattern. Candidates should rely on the instructions in their own admit card and the exam screen.

Factors Affecting Indian Army Agniveer Cut Off Marks 2026

The Indian Army Agniveer cut off 2026 may differ across trades and recruiting offices. The main factors that can influence selection outcomes include:

  • Number of vacancies: The number of available posts in relation to eligible candidates can affect the level of competition.
  • Candidate performance: Marks obtained by candidates and the applicable merit criteria influence the selection outcome.
  • Trade-specific requirements: GD, Technical, Clerk/SKT and Tradesman recruitment may have different eligibility and assessment requirements.
  • ARO-wise competition: The number of applicants and available vacancies may differ across Army Recruiting Offices.
  • Recruitment rules: The official notification determines the applicable qualifying requirements, assessment process and selection criteria.
  • Completion of selection stages: Candidates must meet the applicable standards and complete the required stages. Written-exam performance alone does not guarantee final selection.

These factors explain why unofficial estimates should be treated as indicative rather than as a guarantee of selection.
